February 11th is the World Day of the Sick, a call for all or serve and pray for those who face various illnesses.
During all Sunday Masses on February 10th and 11th, Catholics who face any kind of life threatening illness, physical, emotional, mental or otherwise, will be invited to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. This sacred ritual is intended to offer spiritual strength and healing in the presence of the faith community. We know Jesus heals and in this Sacrament our Church asks our Saviour to bring healing to those in need.
Pope Francis has also issued a message for the World Day of the Sick.
