On Monday, September 30th, the relics of St. Peregrine, the patron saint of cancer victims, will make a visit to St. Joseph Church. Directly or indirectly, we have all been touched by cancer. At 7pm, a Mass for healing will be offered in the presence of the relics. This Mass invites our community to unite in prayer for all those affected by the deadly disease. We know our Saviour offers spiritual healing and emotional peace and we entrust all who suffer to him through the intercession of St. Peregrine.
After the Mass, all are welcome to venerate the relics of St. Peregrine and receive a blessing. Catholics enduring cancer or any other disease that threatens life will also be welcome to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available from 6pm to 6:45pm on the same evening.
