St. Joseph Church

“Where your treasure is, there will your heart also be.”
Matthew 6:21

Giving helps us to better reflect the character of God. He has given us everything — not even withholding his own Son! Because God places a high value on generosity, so too do his disciples. Investing in what matters to God, strengthens your relationship with Him.

Our giving makes it possible for people to hear the Good News of God’s love for them. It also helps us provide, through our Ministry partners, critical care to those in need.

eGive

eGive is the preferred and easiest way to support the mission of St. Joseph Church through planned parish contributions offered electronically once or twice each month, according to the wishes of the generous giver. eGive helps meet the needs and lifestyle of disciples who enjoy the convince of similar programs, like automatic bill payments.

  • eGive offers convenience. There’s no need to issue cheques, hunt for change or stop at the bank on the way to worship.
  • eGive offers peace of mind. Even when unable to join the community because of illness, weather or while enjoying a vacation, the faithful can continue supporting their parish.
  • eGive allows the parish to better plan for the future by providing steady and dependable contributions.
  • eGive saves time for volunteers, reduces paperwork for bookkeepers and increases security as less cash is handled on premises.

Sign up for eGive by completing an eGive Enrolment Form and placing it in the collection or drop it off at the office. A downloadable, printable version is available online and paper copies are available at the welcome desk; just ask one of our hospitality ministers!

Online

St. Joseph Church has partnered with Canada Helps to offer an easy way for anyone to give a one time or regular gift online.

The collection

All are welcome to contribute to the mission of the parish through the regular collection taken up during every Sunday Mass. Contribution envelopes can also be given through the office mail slot any time or day.

Visitor envelopes are available at the welcome desk, but a box of dedicated envelopes makes regular giving even easier. Those who give using envelopes or cheque will receive a donation receipt. Unfortunately, donation receipts cannot be given for loose cash placed in the collection.

Interac e-transfer

St. Joseph Church can also receive payment or donations through Interac e-Transfer. Using your banking app or website, simply send offerings to ‘office@stjosephsbowmanville.ca’. No need to pick a security question. To issue a tax receipt (if applicable) or credit you appropriately, please include your name and contact information in the memo line as well as how you would like the funds directed (donation, Sacramental Preparation, dinner tickets, etc.)

Other ways to give

Offerings to St. Joseph Church can be made in other ways as well, including estates, shares, one-time offerings and legacies. Meet with the parish priest to have all your questions about giving answered.
