Suffering is a mystery we all face at some time in our lives. Whether it is physical, emotional, or spiritual, it may test our faith. Internationally known speaker Jeff Cavins shares personal insights he gained through his own physical pain. He shows us how we can join our sufferings with those of Jesus on the Cross, bringing renewed meaning to the suffering we experience in our lives.

Glow Worm is losing her glow, and her eyes are going with it! It’ll take the ministrations of mother and expert Lady Iris to help Glow Worm fix her eyes on Jesus and see with a heavenly perspective.

The Receptionist reports to the Director of Finance, Property and Administration and is responsible for providing administrative and clerical services for the Diocesan Pastoral Centre, its Clergy, Lay Employees, parishes, individual Catholics and the Diocese. Must have an affinity with, and passion for, the overall mission of the Diocese. The Receptionist position is a part-time, hourly position, on site at the Diocesan Pastoral Centre in Peterborough, ON. Weekly hours are either two days from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm or three half days for a maximum of a thirteen (13) hour work week.

We can all use a little more compassion, including compassion for ourselves. Compassion circles offer a supportive place for woman to experience a time of connection and belonging, to cultivate their compassion together, share how they are doing and receive recognition, kindness and support. Through this sharing, participants increase personal resilience and find energy to engage more effectively among families, friends and community.

Women of our parish are invited to join the Compassion Circle at St. Joseph Church beginning on Thursday, September 26th and continuing on the fourth Thursday of each month (except December). Compassion circles gather at 10am in the Columbus Hall. There is no fee or obligation.

Join us for an action-packed adventure filled with humor and faith as we follow the story of 1st Samuel and learn the story of one of the Old Testament’s greatest saints.

God has a plan for marriage and the family. By understanding God’s goal for family life and its relationship to the world, families will be better prepared for the challenges of living this vision in modern society.

Whatever you do unto the least of these, you do unto me. Mother Teresa always remembered these words of Jesus. She said that she saw the face of Jesus in the face of each sick and dying person she helped. She asked the whole world to look for Jesus’ face there, too. This movie presents the life and work of Mother Teresa with words and pictures that even the youngest child will enjoy. Children will happily learn that Mother Teresa was a person whose strong faith and trust in God helped her to make incredible changes in our world.

The Stewardship and Development Coordinator provides resources to the Bishop, parishes, individual Catholics and the Diocese. The successful candidate will report to the Bishop of Peterborough and will work closely with Clergy, Lay Staff, Councils, and Committees of the Diocese to develop, execute and support programs. Must have an affinity with, and passion for, the overall mission of the Diocese. The Stewardship and Development Coordinator position is a full time, salaried position, on site at the Chancery office in Peterborough.
