Our Lay Pastoral Assistant, Hailu Lockyer, is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP), Spiritual Care Practitioner, and Clinical Supervisor with over two decades of combined experience in medicine and psychospiritual care.
Integrating a profound academic background in psychology, theology, and mental health with specialized training in CBT and clinical counselling, hypnotherapy, Hailu provides deeply holistic, soul-centred spiritual healing. In addition to serving at St. Joseph Church, Hailu works in the Spiritual Care department of a large hospital and offers services through Durham Psychotherapy Services. If you are mourning the loss of a loved one, seeking assistance with navigating and completing family final wishes or looking for mental health support, Hailu is here for you with compassionate and solutional orientated counselling, psychotherapy and spiritual care to encourage peace, engage well-being, and move life forward.
