Following the example of Jesus on the road to Emmaus, Christians are invited to journey alongside one another, fostering greater understanding, compassion, and support during the mental health journey. We approach the journey through conversation, prayer and practical supports.
Conversations
The first Sunday of each month features open conversations about mental health support related topics.
Holy Hour
On the third Monday of each month, spend some time with others in prayer. United in prayer, we invite the divine physician to bring healing to all who suffer, especially those challenged by mental health issues.
Wellness Walks (while the weather cooperates)
Take a break from the busyness of the week and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation, good conversation, and time for prayer. Join us every Wednesday evening (weather permitting). We’ll meet at the Bowmanville Valley South Parking Lot (Baseline Rd. between Spry Ave. and Hunt St.). Parking is free. Our walk is geared toward adults and follows a relaxed, moderate pace for about an hour along the paved trails through peaceful wooded areas along Bowmanville Creek. The route has few to no hills or obstacles. Well-behaved dogs are welcome too! Please wear comfortable walking shoes, bring water and bug repellent, and dress for the weather. If it’s raining, we’ll see you the following week.
